In a sheltered position it may just survive down here, but is best north of Coffs Harbour. Very sensitive to frost...but wow - imagine being able to harvest your own coconut. We use coconut milk in cooking, and the oil to make our balms. Coconut husk can also be used in craft, as a fuel/charcoal, to make buttons, for potting up plants, even making musical instruments.
